Conferment of the Ambassador’s Award upon the Ikebana International Ottawa Centennial Chapter No. 120. The award was in recognition of the Chapter’s long-time contribution in promoting Ikebana in Ottawa and the lasting friendship between Japan and Canada. The event was held at the residence of His Excellency Kanji Yamanouchi, Ambassador of Japan to Canada.

Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi conferred the Ambassador’s Award upon Ms. Keiko Nagasawa, I.I. Ottawa Chapter Vice-President, for her contributions to mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Canada. Since Keiko’s arrival in Ottawa, she has been providing support to new immigrants from Japan as well as local Japanese Canadians living in Ottawa. Furthermore, Keiko has been supporting the I.I. Ottawa Chapter for years in various capacity and actively involved in activities to promote Ikebana.
